    FOOT EXAMINATION

We combine traditional methods of treatment with innovative computer technology. Thanks to this, we are able to asses even small changes on feet and propose the best correction technique and/or therapy for each Patient.

Computer examination

A dedicated platform connected to the computer registers the pressure of feet against the ground. Therefore, we can make a precise assessment of:

  • foot defects (flat foot, hallux valgus)
  • the areas of increased and decreased load for each foot
  • symmetry of load and length of legs
  • body balance and statics
  • posture defects (valgus foot, valgus knee, scoliosis)
  • walking disorders

The results of each Patient are registered in our data base, therefore we can monitor the improvement of condition during the whole therapy process.

ORTHOPEDIC INSOLES

We make orthopedic insoles for children, adults, seniors, athletes, active people, for physical workers and those who perform work in standing position. Our insoles suites both – technical shoes and everyday footwear.

For our Patient’s benefits and to guarantee the highest level of services, we are using state-of-the-art equipment and materials. We cooperate with Capron Podologie, a prestigious French company, which has been the European leader in the field of orthotics for over 40 years. An excellent quality and features of the materials we are using, together with our knowledge of correction techniques, result in excellent treatment outcomes.

The insoles are customized to the needs and defects of each Patient. They can be used in various types of footwear - by differentiating the thickness of material we can make orthopedic insoles for elegant shoes as well as for ski shoes.

The advantages of orthopedic insoles made in FootMedica:

  • custom made – individual for each foot, that is the reason the preparation is preceded with detailed questionnaire and examination lasting appx. 1-hour
  • thermoplastic
  • esthetic
  • corrective
  • made fast – in the clinic during the visit
  • durable
  • hygienic

CHECK HOW AN INDIVIDUAL ORTHOPEDIC INSOLE IS MADE:

This process requires from a therapist the specific knowledge and technical skills.
The process includes the following steps:
STEP 1:Diagnostics of existing foot defects

STEP 1:Diagnostics of existing foot defects

Manual examination enables preliminary evaluation of each foot condition.

STEP 2:Examination performed on a tensometric platform

STEP 2:Examination performed on a tensometric platform

Allows to define precisely each foot disorders, both in a standing position and while walking.

STEP 3:Static and functional examination performed on a podometric platform

STEP 3:Static and functional examination performed on a podometric platform

This device enables to conduct static and dynamic feet evaluation

STEP 4: Making a foot blueprint on a pantograph

STEP 4: Making a foot blueprint on a pantograph

A blueprint of foot surface enables to allocate corrective elements on the insole

STEP 5: Making a foot print in a corrected position

STEP 5: Making a foot print in a corrected position

The examination is conducted in vacuous pads in order to preserve the picture of foot correction.

STEP 6: Forming the insole - using heated thermoform materials and customizing it to the foot print

STEP 6: Forming the insole - using heated thermoform materials and customizing it to the foot print

After cooling off, the insoles remain solid, but in case of need they can be modified and reshaped easily.

STEP 7: Individual correction of defects

STEP 7: Individual correction of defects

By customizing corrective elements to each foot

STEP 8: The final result

STEP 8: The final result

Individual, customized orthopedic insoles are ready to be used

    PHYSIOTHERAPY

Many dysfunctions within knee joint or spinal column are caused by incorrect foot movements. Also some of foot dysfunctions are caused by disorders in higher levels of motor organs. That is the reason we treat each Patient individually and we do not limit the examination to feet only. (holistic approach)

Our physiotherapeutic services include:

  • individual sessions with a program adjusted to the Patient’s problem
  • manual and functional therapy
  • kinesiotherapy, kinesiotaping, medical taping
  • therapy in pain syndromes of spine column, distal joints, temporal and mandibular joints, posture defects, post-traumatic conditions
  • prevention of leg and posture defects in children and youths
  • correction of already existing foot disorders: flat foot, hallux valgus, heel spurs, arch pain, recurrent ankle joint subluxation, as well as leg disorders (valgus and varus knees, unequal legs length)
  • disinfection of footwear
